Honors Diploma List
The list of seniors who are receiving an Honors Diploma was posted outside of Student Services on Wednesday, March 20th. Please review the list by Monday, April 1st and let your counselor know if you have any questions.
ACT Prep Class
AP Exam Pre-Administration Meeting
Students who registered for an AP Exam Registration must attend a mandatory AP Pre-Administration meeting that will occur at 7:15am in the Auditorium on April 17th. Please bring a pencil and hard surface to write on (i.e. a notebook or textbook). The meeting will take approximately 30-45 minutes to complete. Students will be excused from their early bird class but are expected to get missing work. If you have any questions, please see your counselor.
Individual College Meetings in Student Services
Admissions Reps often schedule meetings at the high school to meet with students interested in learning more about that particular college, the admissions process and what the school has to offer. These meetings are held in a conference room in student services. Please sign up in advance. Sign up sheets are located on the counter in student services. You will be responsible for any missed classwork.

CCP Information Night
The State of Ohio requires that potential CCP participants and their parents attend an informational meeting prior to applying for the CCP program. Current CCP students and parents are not required to attend additional meetings; only first time CCP students and their parents are required to attend a meeting.

Practice ACT Results
Posted PSAT Results
Juniors who took the PSAT on October 10th can view their scores online beginning on Wednesday, December 12th. Students were notified via Google classroom that they will need to log in to or create a College Board account online to see their scores. Students can link their PSAT scores to Khan Academy which will unlock free, personalized practice based on their PSAT results.
Junior Parent Information Night
The counselors hosted a Junior Parent Night on Wednesday, January 16th from 6:00pm-7:00pm in the auditorium. The counselors provided information on how to prepare your junior for senior year. They discussed college searches, ACT/SAT, Common App & Naviance, and career planning. Click here to view a copy of the presentation. Click here for a copy of the packet that was distributed.
8th Grade Scheduling Information Night
The Avon High School Guidance Department hosted a Scheduling Information Night on February 4th for Avon students who plan to attend Avon High next year as freshmen and their parents. Required curriculum for graduation and additional courses required for college bound students were discussed. Families received the information required to log in to the district’s scheduling website and select 9th grade coursework. Those who attended were be able to schedule courses online from home immediately following this meeting, providing the student had been registered to attend for the 2019-20 school year.

2019-2020 Scheduling Information
The school counselors were in classrooms with Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen discussing scheduling for the 2019-2020 school year last week. Each student received a copy of his/her transcript, AHS graduation credits worksheet, elective course guide and a copy of the 2019-2020 Program of Studies. Click here to view an electronic copy of the Program of Studies. The window for scheduling closes on February 8, 2019. The counselors will be available on Thursday, February 7, 2019, in Room 106 from 10:30am-12:30pm to assist with any 2019-2020 scheduling questions. This is ideal for students who were absent or had CCP during the classroom presentations that occurred last week.
