Gifted Education
Academic Resource Program
Formal programning for the Avon Local Schools' Gifted Program begins in the third grade and continues through grade six. Identified students are served in a resource room, single-subject self-contained classes, or through an intervention specialist model. Students are identified using only nationally normed tests that are on the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) approved list. These tests are administered either in a group or individual setting. Instruction is guided by the Written Education Plans. Service time is in compliance with state guidelines.
