Welcome to our updated Heritage South webpage. We hope that this site will be a helpful resource for our parents and students to learn more about the goings-on in third and fourth grade. 

As the school year comes to a close, the staff at Heritage South has been busy making preparations for the upcoming school year!  So you are aware, the first day for students will be on Thursday, August 22nd.  If you have a child slated to attend third or fourth grade next year, please be on the lookout for a mailing in early August to welcome your child to another exciting year at Heritage South.  In the mailing information will be available regarding the third and fourth grade supply list, workbook fees, and when to expect the posting of third and fourth grade classes prior to the start of the school year.  Additional information will be included in the mailing regarding Open House, which will be held on Tuesday, August 20th from 5:30-7:30.  We strongly encourage all students and parents to attend Open House.  This event affords the students an excellent opportunity to meet their new teacher and classmates, find their locker and desk, and have a better understanding of what to expect on the first day of school. 

In mid-July, we will be sending home results of the 3rd and 4th grade Ohio Achievement Assessments (OAA).  As has been done in the past, any third grade student who scored below the passing score (400) will have the opportunity to pariticpate in a special reading intervention program to assist with the third grade concepts that may have been missed on the OAA and help prepare for the transition to 4th grade.
