The new 2010-2011 school year promises to offer many exciting and educationally rewarding challenges for the students at Heritage North. We hope that everyone, parents, extended families, and friends, will become involved in some aspect of our education program at Heritage North.

Throughout the summer, many projects were undertaken to insure that the school was in tip-top shape for this coming school year. When you visited the school at Open House, I'm sure you noticed how great the building looks. Many thanks to our outstanding custodians, Jim Rogala and Jeff Fischer, for all of their hard work! Special thanks to Jody Booker and Annette Haldi, office secretaries, who worked tirelessly to make sure that student schedules were ready for pick-up, while meeting the needs of all our returning teachers.

Our Heritage Booster Club worked tirelessly last year to achieve our goals and support academic achievement for all students. This year promises to be another great year, led by our President, Beth Golik and North Vice President, Tammy Bertrand. Please consider signing up for a committee or to help as a volunteer this year. Heritage North excels with everyone--parents, students, and staff--working together.

Throughout the school year, the North staff will be striving to help each student develop to their fullest potential. Please help us help your child. Family support lends itself to a higher achieving student. I encourage you to get involved in your child's education, their future, and our future, as a productive nation depends on their success at school. Respect is, and will continue to be at the top of my list of character traits reinforced at Heritage North. At my opening assembly to greet students I offered the following Helpful Hints: Create a homework place away from distractions, value and focus on organization and READ.
