Art Club’s Next Meeting is Wednesday, January 22nd

Art Club Will meet Wednesday, January 22nd after school until 5:00pm in the media center. We will be making blankets for Moose's Mission. Please bring a $5 donation for this philanthropy event.

 

Important Information about Second Semester Junior Senior Release

Students who have second semester junior senior release on their schedule must pick up a new release form for the second semester in the Administrative Office. First semester forms will not carry over. Release students will be able to leave for release once second semester signed forms are turned in.

 

The Media Center will be closed at the start of Second Semester

The Media Center will be closed Wednesday, January 22nd, and will reopen Thursday, January 23rd.

 

Avon's Varsity Bowling Team defeated Brookside last week making that 6 wins in a row. 

Congratulations to AHS bowlers on their first year! Avon's Varsity Bowling Team defeated Brookside last week making that 6 wins in a row.  The team was led by Brenton Dill, with scores of 269 and 258.  Joe Laforet, Aidan Reding and Apostol Kule also had games in the 200s to help Avon in the win. Way to go, bowlers.

 

Seniors attending the Washington DC Trip had their second deposit due Friday, January 17th

Seniors who have signed up for the 2020 trip to Washington, D.C., the second deposit payment for your trip was due on Friday, January 17th. Make sure you have logged onto your Prodigy account and made your payment. A link to the Prodigy website is on the Registration page of the trip website: bit.ly/seniortodc. Congratulations, Avon Gymnastics Team for setting a new record!

The Avon Gymnastics team set a new record on senior night and their last home meet of the season.  Freshman Maddie Geiger took 1st place all-around!  She was also tied for 1st on vault, 2nd on bars, 2nd on beam, and 4th on floor.  The team took 2nd place all-around, and broke the team score record with 127. 85.  Senior Alyssa Chonko tied for 3rd on vault, Senior Captain Elizabeth Bernath tied for 2nd on floor, and Freshman Chloe Harpsoe took 5th on bars. Congratulations to all gymnasts for a great season so far.
